Big Easy Common Competition
BEH is thrilled to announce its new internal competition, the Big Easy Common Competition! The challenge is simple: If New Orleans had its own beer style, what would it be? Design a recipe, brew your beer, and bring it to our July meeting to be judged by a panel of professional brewers. Exciting prizes await the top three entries!
There are virtually no restrictions on your interpretation of a Big Easy Common, so you might find an imperial chicory stout next to a light lager with Filé. We request that you provide the authentic recipe for your beer for judging and be prepared to explain to the judges and the club why you believe your beer epitomizes New Orleans. The tasting will be held outdoors in July, so stay hydrated!
